Issa Crama La Salina
Nestled in the Durgău Hills, ISSA La Salina Winery revives Cluj County’s rich winemaking heritage and the stories of its surroundings through an extensive wine tourism project, standing as the only winery in the region.
ISSA wines pay tribute to a territory with centuries-old viticultural tradition, dating back to the Roman Empire, when the Roman fort Potaissa stood here – a name that inspired the ISSA brand.
After decades of inactivity, the Durgău Hills vineyards were revitalized using state-of-the-art winemaking technology, earning the protected geographical indication “Dealurile Transilvaniei”.
Spanning 41 hectares on clay-limestone soils, the vineyards are equipped with modern winemaking facilities. Under the ISSA brand, the winery produces white wines – Chardonnay Barrique, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc – red wines – Pinot Noir and Fetească Neagră – rosé, and sparkling wines.
In 2024, ISSA Chardonnay Barrique 2022 was named “International White Wine Revelation” at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, receiving the Grand Gold Medal as the highest-scoring white wine of the competition.
In partnership with ISSA Resort, ISSA La Salina Winery offers vineyard tastings, charming picnics at the vineyard’s foot, and horse-drawn carriage rides at sunset, creating authentic and memorable wine tourism experiences.
